We are delighted to announce that Arthur Rank Hospice are our designated charity for 2017. We will be raising money in a number of events throughout the year.

Arthur Rank Hospice Charity supports people in Cambridgeshire who are living with a life-limiting illness. Their care and services are provided free of charge and are delivered in their brand new hospice located in Shelford Bottom, Cambridge and the Alan Hudson Day Treatment Centre in Wisbech. To supplement the NHS contribution, the Charity are required to raise £2 million annually to fund the additional services provided by the Hospice. Their professional, compassionate and practical services deliver care, counselling and education, helping their patients and their loved ones to make every moment count.

The new hospice that opened late 2016 was built to really make a difference to each patient at the hospice, and that is why so much thought has gone into the build. The new hospice is spacious, attractive and has a therapeutic environment: designed with great consideration for the patient’s need, with vastly improved facilities allowing for increased service capacity. As of November 2016, more than £8.3 million had been raised by the community to support the build.
