Bubble Rush 5K returned to Huntingdon’s Riverside Park on Saturday 21st July and more than 900 runners took part in the foamy challenge despite the sweltering heat hitting almost 30 degrees. This is not your average run in the park… The 5k course starts in a sea of bubbles and features four bubble stations along the route with cannons blasting out coloured foam.
Despite the gruelling conditions, Simon and Lois had a blast running through the foam, completing the 5k course in an impressive time of 37 minutes. They were also thrilled to have raised £585 for Atkins Gregory’s corporate charity of the year, the Arthur Rank Hospice. This charity supports people in Cambridgeshire who are living with life-limiting illness and those who need end-of-life care.
Donna Talbot, from Arthur Rank, said: “It is wonderful to know that the funds raised through this run will directly benefit the patients cared for by Arthur Rank Hospice charity and help in making every moment count for whatever remaining time they and their families have together.”
