Are you facing challenges affecting your mental health? Do you have financial concerns, relationship or family difficulties which are causing you stress, anxiety or emotional problems?

These are the questions The Monthind Group is supporting its staff in answering, as it introduces a new 24/7 health and wellbeing hotline for its 1000+ employees.

In a move to ensure its people always have access to comprehensive support, all employees of Atkins Gregory will now be able to speak to accredited counsellors around the clock via a confidential telephone support line, about issues causing them stress or affecting their mental health.

The announcement of the new support network coincides with Mental Health Awareness Week, an annual event highlighting the importance of making mental health a central topic of conversation and has grown into one of the world’s biggest awareness weeks.

Mental Health Awareness Week 2021

Started by The Mental Health Foundation 21 years ago, this year’s Mental Health Awareness Week runs from 10 to 16 May. The 2021 campaign is focusing on the positive impact that connecting with nature can have on our mental health. It has even supplied some tip tops on connecting with nature to improve your mental health!

In a year defined by pandemics and lockdown, enjoying the outdoors has been a lifeline for millions. Whether it’s a daily walk with friends, family or the family pet, or ‘sitting outside in the garden’, people have turned to nature in their droves to help sustain good mental health. In fact, more than half of UK adults said that being close to nature improved their mental health last summer.

Talking about the initiative, Monthind director Simon Biggs says: “It is no coincidence that we are announcing this new, enhanced level of support for our staff Mental Health Awareness Week. One in four of us will experience a mental health problem during our lives and feeling fully supported by your employer is one less burden to bear for those suffering.

“By introducing access to counsellors via a 24/7 health and wellbeing hotline, on top of our existing staff welfare systems, we are making every effort to ensure every one of our employees feels that crucial support from Monthind when they need it.”
