We are passionate about our people, our environment and our communities. We are dedicated to provide a difference for our local and national charities that hold the same ethical values as Atkins Gregory. We also continuously seek ways to minimalise our environmental impact by making environmental considerations with decisions, and choosing green alternatives where possible.

We believe that it takes a lot of different ingredients to make a successful company, and one of those is recognising and nurturing your corporate social responsibility. Some of the ways we do this at the moment are:

Training– Our people are our greatest asset and we treat them as such. We know they will be more effective, safer and productive in the way they work if they are trained well. That includes procedural, health and safety, COSHH and technology training. By investing in our staff we provide a better service for our clients, more job satisfaction and career opportunities for our employees and can continue to grow our business underpinned by an exemplary workforce.

Six of our employees recently passed their IOSH Managing Safely Qualification, and our Head of Operations here at Atkins Gregory, Simon Sousa-Plume who already holds an IOSH Qualification, recently passed his NEBOSH course. At Atkins Gregory we pride ourselves on our rigorous adherence to all aspects of Health & Safety legislation and best practice.

AFC– As an Armed Forces Covenant Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) silver award holder, Atkins Gregory already demonstrates its commitment to the scheme, but we also actively highlight the benefits of employing veterans and reservists to other local businesses and national cleaning and facilities management companies.

Charity– The Monthind Holdings Group has always been efficacious when it comes to charity fundraising, taking part in and organising a broad range of events. As well as supporting our selected charities we are always keen to support our staff in their individual fundraising. Everyone gets on board to raise money for our nominated charities, but we understand that many members of the team have charities that are close to their hearts, often for very personal reasons. We use our websites to raise the profile of individual endeavours, and whenever possible we provide financial support as well.

Sustainable Travel– Atkins Gregory is committed to reducing its carbon footprint by promoting sustainability throughout its activities; from the boardroom to the shop floor. The major investment into this strategy is our ‘Green Fleet’ of lower CO2 hybrid vehicles which has already delivered significant emissions savings. Over the last year, charging our plug-in hybrid vehicle fleet at head office has saved over 740kg of CO2 emissions.  That’s equivalent of making 10,500 cups of tea or driving 2250 miles in a standard petrol car or spending 150 hours in the average electric shower.

Beyond the Green Fleet, Atkins Gregory’s commitment to sustainable travel extends to further everyday policies such as;

  • Encouraging staff to walk, cycle, car share or use public transport to attend meetings, site visits etc
  • Encouraging staff to use alternatives such as video conferencing where possible to avoid unnecessary physically travelling
  • Providing home based working solutions to reduce the need for staff to travel

We are always reviewing ways we can improve how we support our staff, our community and the environment and you can find our latest initiatives on our news page.
